Audie Dunham is a professional fine-art painter.  His art is an integration of impressionism… a style developed during the late 19th and early 20th century by such artists as Edouard Manet, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, and Paul Cezanne; and expressionism… a style introduced by such artists as Vincent Van Gogh, Willem deKooning, Jackson Pollock, Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Mitchel, Georgia O'Keeffe and others.  Audie's work has been heavily influenced by such artists as John Neito, James Gill, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Peter Hurd. 

When Audie paints, he intentionally leaves thickly laid brushstrokes and various levels of abstraction that provide impressions of form and movement. To quote him, "I often I use colors to bring attention to the natural expanses and beauty around us. I want to stir an individual's emotions and provide the impetus for stimulating one's imagination." 

Audie's primary objective is to portray what he sees and imagines, paintings that stir emotions of joy, curiosity, goodness, passion, peace, optimism, liveliness and so on.  With regard to painting Audie said "I love it when my paintings grab viewers and draw them in to study the colorful, expansive, expressive majesty of how I see in the world i know and love.
